Literacy: Skills and knowledge to read and write a range of texts on everyday subject matters and use and respond to spoken language across a broad range of contexts. Numeracy: Development of everyday numeracy skills which can be applied to everyday routines as well as extending to applications in the workplace and the community. Work related skills: Development of work related and pre-vocational skills in contexts appropriate to particular tasks. Industry specific skills: The development of knowledge, attitudes and skills for a variety of vocational contexts for preparation to further learning or employment. Personal development skills: The participation in the experiences and activities of a practical nature for the development of organisational/planning skills, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Skills for further study: Development of knowledge and skills for further study/vocational preparation to prepare and assist with the pursuit of training and vocational pathways in a range of settings.
