Course Code: SIT50212 Course Overview Take your love of events to the next level with the Diploma of Events! If you have always been interested in event planning and execution, and have a love for people and travel, this is your opportunity to make a career out of it! You can learn the in-depth skills and gain the knowledge required to co-ordinate, plan and execute events across a wide range of industries and sectors like travel and tourism, hospitality, sports, music, cultural and community. Completion of this course will see you equipped with the skills required to work independently and autonomously to plan events and execute them in a multitude of locations and settings. Campus Bendigo City Campus / Echuca Campus Course Structure The course is delivered over 6 months, with classes held on 3-4 days a week. Classes will typically be held between 9:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. All applicants will also be required to attend an interview and fill out a pre-selection form. Recognition of prior learning (RPL) Recognition of prior learning (RPL) may be given for skills and knowledge gained through previous study or other relevant experience. Further information refer to RPL Assessment Methods You will be assessed to show that you have achieved the skills and knowledge required by the course. Assessment may include written, oral or practical assessment methods. You will know in advance about the type of assessment and how it will operate. There is the opportunity for reassessment and appeal and you will be given this information.
